Years 1-6 pupils at Junior School Fitzwilliam Building set up and ran a playground sale on Friday 4 March as a celebration of their integrated learning week all about History.

Each class set up a fun activity based on a historical theme for their peers to enjoy. Guess the baby; find the pharaoh; Viking ship ping pong; and skittles of History to name but a few.

They donated prizes from home (thank you parents) and ran their stalls - collecting money and giving change. The final total is yet to be calculated but they were well in excess of £300. The initial idea was to share the money across seven house charities but pupils have now raised and are exploring giving to another worthy cause based on current global events.

Well done to all the pupils for their enthusiasm, engagement and endeavours to entertain and raise charitable funds. Thanks also to Mrs Parker for her efforts in setting up this superb week of integrated learning for the whole school community.
