There’s a strong link between sport and wellbeing, so being active is an important part of life
at Stephen Perse Sixth Form.

We have elite sports teams that win regional and county events, led by sporting leaders. We support individual students in their sporting endeavours outside of school (at local, national and international level). We also have sport for everyone, where the goal is simply to get involved, to make friends, and to look after your physical and mental wellbeing.

All sixth form students engage in sport, there is a range of options on offer - from the more traditional sports of football, netball, cricket and hockey to more diverse opportunities such as from archery to zumba, from basketball to yoga - we’re confident that you’ll find one to suit you.

Expert sports leadership

All sports at the Foundation are led by expert sports development teachers including a former Chelsea Academy player, an MCC university cricket coach, an England Touch Rugby player and other county and university coaches. We also have a partnership with Anglia Ruskin University to deliver expert coaching and training for our students.

Outstanding sports facilities

We provide excellent sports facilities on campus, including an award-winning sports and learning building that features a four-court sports hall and a rooftop sports pitch (the only one in
Cambridge!).

Football pitch

We also boast a five-acre, all-weather sports ground on Latham Road and we enjoy using some of the best facilities Cambridge has to offer, including the cricket and football grounds at Gonville & Caius College.

What’s more, we have linked up with Kelsey Kerridge sports centre to give our students free access to their professional gym. It’s just a short walk or cycle from campus, and you’ll find a wide range of equipment there - from treadmills to free weights - that will help you meet your individual fitness goals.
