This year's charity day for The Animal Rescue Centre was a resounding success.
Our day began with assembly where all our animal-suited children gathered, from apes to zebras!
Having found out more about The Animal Rescue Centre in Bishop’s Stortford, our Year 6 pupils described all the fun fundraising activities on offer. To top it all, we had guest appearance from Essex County Cricket Association accompanied by the County Championship trophy! This became a paid opportunity to have photos taken and printed with the golden cup.
At playtime and lunch, children practised their throwing, hopping, pinning and grinning, with face painting, badger-naming, selfie-taking, animal house-making, advice-giving, orphan-naming and generally collaboratively enjoying raising money for a very good cause! We collected an amazing £443.52.
Thank you to children, parents and staff for all the wonderful support that made our day such a success.
