Recently our Year 2 class had the challenge of making a balloon move along a piece of nylon thread.
There is something to be said for perseverance and it paid off as the results were awesome. We discussed the size of balloon, strength and type of thread, the length of the straw, the difficulties that we had releasing the clip and the success. Along with screams of delight and the thrill of seeing our balloon rocket zoom along the thread the experiment worked, time and time again. Well done 2 M, now for our next challenge - Can we make some more rockets using a different form of power or design?
