  • Grade anxiety leads to increased interest in Stephen Perse Sixth Form places this September

    Helen Roberts, Stephen Perse Admissions Registrar is reporting increased calls from parents of Year 11 students and by parents with children in other local and international schools who are clearly unsettled by the furore of recent weeks. She says that many parents are not confident in the ability in their new school of choice to be able to deliver the curriculum whatever the circumstances next year, or to ensure their child achieves the outcomes of the final years of school that best reflect their abilities.

  • Stephen Perse Foundation announces outstanding GCSE results; once again amongst the best in the UK

    Students in the Senior School at the Stephen Perse Foundation have achieved excellent results with 49% of entries graded 9, the highest grade possible, in this summer’s GCSEs. This continues a trend of academic achievement at Stephen Perse despite the challenging and uncertain circumstances students have experienced since the schools closure directive in March and lack of formal examinations.

  • Stephen Perse Foundation announces outstanding A level results; once again amongst the best in the UK

    Students in the Sixth Form at the Stephen Perse Foundation have achieved outstanding
    results in this year’s A levels with 72% of grades awarded at A*-A. This compares particularly favourably with the national average of 27.9% achieving an A grade or higher.
    These results continue a trend of excellence in the Sixth Form despite the extraordinary circumstances in a year without any formal examinations, instead replaced by a centre assessment grade for each subject, which has been through a process of moderation before being finalised and issued by the awarding bodies.

    Students who take the International Baccalaureate (IB) at the Stephen Perse Sixth Form have achieved this year an average score of 39.9 points. Once again, these results place the school in the top group of IB schools both in the UK and worldwide.

  • The Bionic Men visit years 5 and 6

    Children in Year 5 and 6 across the foundation recently enjoyed a hugely informative 'Google Meet' session with two of the world's most renowned Bionic people. Rob Spence - 'The EyeBorg' -  joined us from his home in Toronto whilst  Prof. Dr Bertold Meyer joined the meeting from his University in Chemnitz, Germany and told us of his life with his bionic arm.

We are pleased to announce that on 29 June at the virtual finals, Jakub was announced as the winner of his category for his project 'Diluted white paint and its effect on the temperature under tiles'.

  • Design Engineering teacher supports local fire victims through digital portraits

    Portrait for a Cause is a fundraising initiative for the victims of the Arbury Kingsway Flat fire that devasted seven homes back in May. Organised by Ethel Von Mann, a Design Engineering teacher at Stephen Perse, who has come up with an idea to help people in the community badly affected by the fire and gain a digital portrait of a friend or relative which is then posted to them as a surprise gift.
