Holroyd Howe are focused on food that is fresh and handcrafted daily, made from natural ingredients that are ethically sourced.
High food standards are required in all Holroyd Howe schools and they are proud of their fresh food and nutrition policy. Holroyd Howe’s business rests on the foundations of using the finest ingredients sourced from high quality local and regional suppliers who care about their produce. They ensure the structure and content of all their menus promote the wellbeing of everyone they feed.
Holroyd Howe adhere to the principle of ‘getting the balance right’, which simply means consuming a varied and balanced diet that contains plenty of starchy carbohydrates and fruits and vegetables, moderate amounts of dairy food and meat, fish, eggs and beans and only small amounts of fat, sugar and salt.
Holroyd Howe actively promotes fresh produce and creates an interest in the food they offer, naturally steering pupils and staff towards the healthier choices on their menus. They also offer a wide variety of educational programmes that educate pupils on how to make informed choices during the school day. Their aim is to improve the overall knowledge and awareness of healthy eating and provide pupils with options so they can make an informed choice.
For those students that have specific food allergies or intolerances, Holroyd Howe have robust policies and procedures in place to ensure that our students meals are carefully prepared.
