In our schools pupils have access to fun activities and outdoor learning opportunities in our Forest Schools.
There's lots to explore ... toasting marshmallows over a campfire, meeting wildlife and identifying trees for starters. Forest School is integral to our curriculum, and outdoor experiences help our children learn about the natural environment, how to handle risks and, most importantly, how to use their own initiative to solve problems while co-operating with others.
Our pupils also have access to a teaching and environmental garden and a dipping pond - perfect for keen eco-explorers.
We also have our own nature reserve at Latham Road, which includes an eco-classroom. This outdoor learning space is used by pupils in Cambridge.
Whilst they search for mini-beasts, use natural materials to build shelters and learn how to lay a fire, our pupils are taking risks, exploring, and working together. Pupils also spend time applying specific scientific skills to identify species and carry out a range of environmental measures.
